It looks like they are finally breaking the case, and the mystery will soon unravel. Too late for horses slaughtered, but better late than never, I suppose. I hope justice is swift and sure in this case so that this doesn’t happen again. If true hunger was involved, then social justice must address the issue. A second Florida man has been arrested for a July 26 horse butchery.
Cabrera implicated Luis Miguel Cordero, the man arrested last week and two other men. These are just barely men. What a sad way to enter adulthood. Cabrera is charged with armed burglary, animal cruelty, killing a registered breed horse, and breaking or injuring a fence. He remains in Miami-Dade County jail pending his arraignment. Police are seeking the other two men.
A $20,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the horse poaching incidents.
