Doc says intercostal muscles and ligaments have been torn. Could be as many as 12 more weeks until the pain goes away and I can move freely. Until then, I may continue to inflict myself upon the blog-reading public.
I had a cortisone injection in my ribs and spine, and it is helping with the pain already! Next week I’ll get another lumbar epidural for my herniated disk. But the prescription is still for restrestrestrest.
I’ve arranged for a trusted friend to ride Maira for what looks to be a more protracted absence.
On Saturday, the first of my two babies (well, they’re not mine anymore, I sold them as yearlings to my friend Eileen and her husband Tom) will be arriving at the barn where I board Maira to receive professional training by Wizard Liz.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out! I need to get better so I can rub them every day.
